About the Owner
Jody was born in Houston, Texas. He grew up in Alaska and joined the United States Air Force in 1985.
He was stationed in Athens, Greece, and Charleston, SC. He retired after 22 years of service, which included Active Duty and Reserves.
Licensed Insurance Adjuster
After moving to Georgia, Jody has gained over twenty years of construction and contracting experience, doing hundreds of commercial and residential inspections.
As a licensed insurance adjuster, Jody was trained to separate individual portions of a home or business, evaluate them, and price them for recovery. All of this goes hand in hand with the home inspection, where he does resale property inspections.
He attended (AHIT) American Home Inspectors Training Institute and completed The Technical Home Inspection Course and spent 45 days on the job training.
We Continue to Help After the Inspection
At Southern Home Inspection Services, we send our clients a "Home Inspection Tip Of The Month" via e-mail. These helpful tips are designed to keep you in tune with what needs to happen around your house regularly.
We usually send tips on everything, for example, keeping your clothes dryer vent line cleaned out to prevent a fire, removing window screens on windows you don't usually open to avoid wood rot.

At Southern Home Inspection Services, we know that your schedule is very hectic, so we work hard to accommodate you. We add additional value to our clients.
We also know that you are going to need other services once you move into your new home, we are always available for your needs in advice for home counseling.
We serve all of North Georgia, from Peachtree City to Dalton and all areas in between.
Scheduling Inspections
At Southern Home Inspection Services, we schedule inspections seven days a week as well, so feel free to give us a call on the weekend to schedule your inspection or schedule it right here on our web site.
Each of our certified inspectors conducts two inspections a day, one at 9 A.M and the second one at 2 P.M. This allows ample time for us to do the thorough, quality job you expect and get to our next appointment on time.
Because not everyone can attend the inspection during the week, we also inspect on Saturdays. Our Saturday inspection schedule is limited, so please let one of our professional schedulers know as soon as possible that you need a Saturday inspection. We will do our best to accommodate you.
